What are Marketo self-service flow steps (SSFS)?
Flow Step Service is a feature of Adobe Marketo Engage that allows marketers to easily integrate web services into their Smart Campaigns. Using Flow Step Service, marketers can take advantage of a wide range of services to enhance their marketing efforts and drive better results.
But what exactly is Flow Step Service, and how does it work? Simply put, Flow Step Service is a framework that enable the integration of web services into Smart Campaigns. It works by allowing marketers to install and configure a custom flow step, which essentially works as a link to a web service that can be triggered at certain points in a campaign. This works through the use of asynchronous webhooks on the backend, which are essentially a way for a server to send a message or trigger an action in another system.
So, how might Flow Step Service be used for marketing? The possibilities are endless, as web services can be used for just about anything. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Use a service to send personalized SMS or email messages to leads based on their interactions with your campaigns
- Connect to a social media platform to automatically post updates or engage with leads on your behalf
- Utilize a service to automatically validate or enrich lead data
- Expand the features of an existing CRM integration or integrate with a new system
